By using Gunxpress, you agree to follow the rules below. These terms help keep our platform safe, compliant, and enjoyable for hunters, collectors, sport shooters, and firearm enthusiasts across Canada.

1. Fraud & Illegal Activity

Any attempt—or suspected attempt—to defraud members or engage in illegal activity (e.g., buying/selling firearms without the proper license) will result in:

  • Immediate account suspension or ban
  • Removal of all ads
  • Possible reporting of your information to law enforcement or individuals pursuing legal action

Each member is allowed one account only. Multiple accounts will be treated as suspicious activity.

We may require identity or license verification for suspicious activity. Refusal to comply may result in a ban.

Note: Gunxpress may share information with law enforcement or affected parties in cases involving fraud or illegal firearm transactions.

2. Allowed Listings

Only items that fit into our firearm, hunting, archery, and approved accessory categories may be posted. Examples of disallowed items include vehicles, unrelated services, electronics, or unrelated trade offers.

3. Harassment & Messaging Rules

  • No profanity, insults, or harassment through the Gunxpress messaging system.
  • Contact other members only with genuine intent to inquire or buy.
  • Repeated complaints about price with no intent to purchase may be treated as harassment and lead to a ban.

4. Images in Listings

All images must be of the actual item you are selling.

  • No stock photos or images taken from the internet.
  • Violators risk removal of ads and account banning.

5. No External Advertising

You may not post links promoting other buy-and-sell sites. Doing so will result in ad removal and a ban.

6. Member Reviews

Reviews must be based on a completed deal or a clearly agreed transaction.

  • One review per party per deal.
  • No retaliatory review chains.
  • Fake reviews (including reviewing yourself via another account) result in a lifetime ban.

7. Deal Etiquette

  • Sellers: Honour your posted price. If you need to adjust pricing after posting, remove and repost after 7 days.
  • Buyers & Sellers: Once you agree to a deal, stick to it. Breaking agreements without a valid, one-time mistake may result in negative reviews or account action.

8. Bumping & Reposting

You may not delete and repost an ad solely to move it to the top of listings. Use the Bump Up feature instead.

9. Business Posting Rules

Businesses and product distributors must have a paid business membership to post inventory. Personal accounts may not post commercial stock.

10. Conduct with Admins & Members

Gunxpress may ban members who are repeatedly difficult, uncooperative, or abusive toward other members or site staff.

All members must comply with Canadian firearm laws and licensing requirements. Gunxpress is not responsible for verifying transactions, item legality, or listing accuracy. Buyers and sellers must confirm legal compliance before completing a deal.

Convenience summary (verify with CFP):

  • Air guns under 500 fps / flintlock muzzle-loading rifles: PAL not required.
  • Non-Restricted firearms: Buyer must hold a valid PAL. Federal registration is not required (except in Quebec, where non-restricted firearms must be registered per CFP guidance).
  • Restricted firearms: Transfer must be approved through the CFP; Authorization to Transport (ATT) required for lawful movement.
  • Prohibited firearms: May only be transferred to a person licensed for the same class; contact the CFP to initiate the transfer.

12. No Raffles

Raffles are not permitted for safety and fraud prevention reasons.

13. Deal at Your Own Risk

Gunxpress is an advertising platform only. We are not a party to transactions and are not responsible for losses from private dealings.

14. Quality Control

We reserve the right to edit, decline, or remove ads that do not meet our quality standards, including (but not limited to):

  • Unclear descriptions
  • Incorrect categories
  • Multiple unrelated items in one ad

Final Note

Failure to follow these Terms of Use may result in warnings, ad removals, suspensions, or permanent bans—without refund for any paid services.
